  • this sounds like the perfect ride for my falling skills

  • ^ he he

  • I don't like the look of Tuesday's weather forecast for manifold reasons…

  • ^ ? what you panicking about?

  • The threat of rain all day beforehand (disguising big holes in the road), and then snow-worthy temps in the evening; and I'm getting over a mild cold.

I'm hardly running around hither and thither waving my hands in the air and screaming obscenities in a falsetto. Just a little concerned.

  • we'll be cautious. it took us 2 hrs today at a good speed. slowing it down will keep us less strung out. going down sunridge will best be done very cautiously. there is no room for making mistakes in the face of any oncoming vehicles.

  • What time were you gents out? I came up Sundridge at about 10:30 but didn't see any fixie skidders (or badgers).

  • We came down Sundridge at around midday, Andy.

  • furious tiles: can you bring them lights for me?
    be massively thankful.

    No problem twinkle toes.

  • Was anyone else needing to borrow a light for the night, it was earmarked for texas but he has gone all Aussie and quiet?

  • @Sam + Kentengers: do you think it would be quicker for the Sevenoaks people to return to the station at the end (from OTPford) by heading straight down the A225 and then across the B2020, or is it a particularly unpleasant road at that time?

    route map http://www.bikemap.net/route/260779

Route is from 2009. medium difficulty with a few good hills to climb but nothing too bad. Ends with a total speed fest along some very narrow lanes. most enjoyable.
Same rules apply as ever. Don't be a hindrance to mankind or anyone on the TNRC by turning up unprepared. VERY GOOD lights, map, spares and the group safety as priority number one.

if anyone needs to swap trains for any reason then pm me first please.

For some reason I am feeling the pull of Norths drinks more than TNRC this week, so for no other reason than feeling lazy and a bit tired, I'm out for this one.

I realise you can probably get away with travelling out from CX and returning to V (it's the same train company?), but I'd rather ride home from CX.

PS. Still feeling like shit today, but hoping an early early night sees off the last of the lurgy...

    ALERT
naff sounding villainous air raid warning siren
    ALERT
Paging the almighty leaders on high...

We have a fake in our midsts.

Best wipe his name from the end-of-season tattoo list n all.

    Oh, heal up BMMF.

  • It's only a fucking cold, FFS.

I do have a nice big cut on my shin though, thanks to some amazingly bad timing involving my intercom, the postie, a bike, a set of rollers, and seconds 40-45 of my 20th interval at 150rpm.

  • ^ sounds pure...

  • Tynan's well into the Fred Quimby era output at the moment.

  • @ bmmf - the otford train stops at london bridge i think? double check that one. it defo stops at peckham rye and from their it's a short hop over the river. otherwise the ride into 7oaks should be a reasonable extra ten minutes . 7 oaks has a lot of options, a train every 15 mins i think.

  • It involves changing at Sevenoaks anyway. Will see how I feel back at OTPford.

  • @Sam + Kentengers: do you think it would be quicker for the Sevenoaks people to return to the station at the end (from OTPford) by heading straight down the A225 and then across the B2020, or is it a particularly unpleasant road at that time?

Its not a busy route, I will ride with you to Sevenoaks (just short of 4 mile) if you decide to go for it, its on the way back in an elongated oval wrong direction kind of way...

  • hmmmm it will defo be raining tomorrow night. let the excuses begin!

  • i have dropped the price of my light if anyone need a light last minute

    http://www.lfgss.com/thread40212.html

  • I don't want to die tomorrow.

  • I don't want to die tomorrow.

death avoidance = poor excuse :)

  • Will it be warm rain or cold rain?
