Finding 1" ahead stuff is not very easy. So you may be interested to know that if you get a regular 1" threaded fork, with an uncut long steerer, you should be able to use it in your threadless setup just fine.
You can get new 1" threaded forks with up to 300mm steerers fairly easily. Just get one long enough that you can cut off the threaded part.
thanks for the info, i popped down to OYB and had a chat with one of the guys in there today, who was saying the same thing to me. he also said that with a steel fork, i should be ok running the stem on the threads if i was careful not to overtighten... i havent come across anything with a steerer as long as 300mm though? the longest ive seen on ebay is 222mm, from that bankrupt bikes store, where have you seen 300 mm?
