Ooooh, I do love the sprints, 2nd April is the Good Friday Meet at Herne Hill which is followed by Rollapaluza at the Half Moon in Herne Hill so I'd go for the 9th so as not to get a fixture clash and maximum turn out.

It was amazing last time. Sure it will be great again. Shame I'll miss it.
-

Reason for planning it for the 1st of April is that it's the last day of work for many of us and provides us all with an opportunity to unwind and have some fun on and off our bikes.

Next edition of the drag sprints coming up now that British Summer Time is almost with us. I've given two dates just in case the weather for the first date proves unforgiving.
Same idea as past editions, people turn up on fixed wheel bikes, put down a qualifying time and the leading times go through for some head to head racing.
We're going back to the Greenway where we had the first edition. The location is pretty amazing with the backdrop of the Olympic Stadium and street lighting to give audience and participants a good view on things.

This is definitely a social event, albeit with a winner at the end so feel free to bring along friends - just be respectful of other people and the space. Bring along yourself, some lights, some beverages, warm clothes (summer ain't with us yet) and maybe a cow bell or two...
For those not so familiar with the location, plan is to leave from Royal Inn on the Park at 7pm and start racing around 7:30pm although your more than welcome to head straight on down.
Directions from Royal Inn on the Park (aka East Drinks). Head north along Lauriston Road and across the roundabout and then along Terrace Road
From there, blast along Cassland Road till you reach the junction with Wick Road.
Head along Wick Road till you reach a junction where you have the option of turning right up Cadogan Terrace
From there it's simply a case of riding along till you have the Big Yellow Self Storage space in sight (look out for the tall chimney).
Before you reach the Big Yellow Self Storage space, there'll be a turn off to the Greenway on the right
