I had the same problem with phils and bought the chrome domes from hubjub that sorted it out fine. Don't know if they will fit Goldtec hubs but they do look alot nicer and are less hastle that chain tugs

BringMeMyFix
I don't give a toss if my hub washer matches the colour of my hub. That's pathetic.
I know - exactly what I thought. BETD are a buncj of fucking colour matching fakengers. It'd be good if they could at least make a few stainless caps one of their fancy CNC machines and sell them as aftermarket bits.

I looked into this and apparently it won;t work because the Phil end caps go into the actual dropout and that's where the goldtec axles sits.

hey,
wondering how mks tugs would fit, and trying to fathom the descriptions....
surely the
sticky-uppy thing will catch on the round bit of the axle? and if the other way round, the bolt will tighten against said sticky-uppy thing?

the sticky up bit sits in the dropout and slides along as you tighten the bolt.

i am aware of how a chain tug functions. goldtec hubs have a 12mm axle, with it filed down at the ends so it has two parallel flats 10mm apart to fit in the dropouts. the hole in that is 10mm wide, but the axle is 12mm wide, thus, where the screw fixes to the "washer" will hit the axle. on this page there are descriptions of how to fix it, but i cannot understand what they are describing.
can just about see the axle situation in these pictures.

those second blue ones are the shop 14 ones
werent they supposed to have sorted out all the flaws in the goldtecs and then make them even stronger? -

How do I know your work or your friggin experience? You asked the question, I provided a reasonable, non-patronising answer.
Sorry, completely OT but I find Hippy saying 'friggin' pretty amusing.
