i am aware of how a chain tug functions. goldtec hubs have a 12mm axle, with it filed down at the ends so it has two parallel flats 10mm apart to fit in the dropouts. the hole in that is 10mm wide, but the axle is 12mm wide, thus, where the screw fixes to the "washer" will hit the axle. on this page there are descriptions of how to fix it, but i cannot understand what they are describing.
can just about see the axle situation in these pictures.
