Also posted this in the Gazelle thread.
I got the frame back last week from Bob Jackson who did the re-spray. I bought the bike from Tel off the forum, and the paint job was really nice. But I had my heart set on this paintjob though after seeing another bike from the porn section. I also changed the saddle and the bar tape. Im really pleased with how it came out.
Damn that tape was new too! I wasn't very happy with it though in honesty. Was and still is a lovely bike though...

The frame is indeed a bit too large, unfortunately.
But took a long time, until I found a track frame, so I´ll bear with it.
Can increase saddle height a bit or bring the bar down ...Just line up your knee cup with the pedal axle when its at 3 o clock,
everything else to most comfortable, your not gone run a criterium r u?
its a beautiful bike -

53/14 at a guess? Like it, looks crazy fast.

53/16 at the moment, but it will be 53/14 once I get up to speed and start riding the faster courses.

Living in euroland, I wire my bikes up as the euros do. Rear to right lever and vise versa.
When I put the fixed together it seemed logical to mount the front brake lever (dont have a rear) on the right. As its my best hand, and its the onestil holding the bars when I'm signaling.
Just couldn't bring myself to mess with what I'm used to though.
I always thought it was front brake on the right to match motorbikes. I've always had my bicycles set up this way, as I'd hate to get into bother and instinctively grab the wrong lever, either under my own steam or being pushed along by Italian horsepower.

I got told... At least I was partially right, the low friction should make it fractionally faster !

It's neither white not TiN, it's a Wippermann 1Z1, i.e. galvanised, so the colour is Zinc, which is a "white" metal

• #25812
What sort of advantages does that have ?
-
• #25813
It doesn't rust when it gets wet. Also cheap and quiet, although those properties come from being a Wippermann, not from being galvanised.

AYHSMB™, 53cm is my size. Anybody with doubts about the bar height should bear in mind that this is just a return to how I was riding it last season, not a new set up. Yes, I can get that low, even though I'll probably have doubts about it myself for the first few rides.
that looks fast. i like. i just took out my planet X this morning for its first good run, feels nice 48/15 is a bit much for yorkshire but fun on the flat, according to my GPS i got 56kmph on a long flat section after eating a banana
:)does feel a bit long though. i wish i was a normal size - don't know how i will get low enough to get aero bars like yours but will see what happens after some more riding - trying to go fast is all a bit new to me

Looks great, Jorj. Do you know if those chainrings are available in 144BCD?

oo you cheeky monkey! i don't mind too much if you put something shorter on for the tweed run, i didn't have anything in me toolbox & if you're busy taking bits off my bike i want to put a chainguard on the outer so will need to put a spacer onto the BB cup: be a love would ya...

It's funny you said that. My right is my best hand too, but I use it more often while cycling - and driving for that matter. Some people would say, that the RHD is a better option, because your stronger hand is on the steering wheel while your left is on the gear stick. I still catch myself holding the steering wheel with left (especially when I drive automatic). The same with bikes.
Perhaps it's something to do with the sides of the brain?
Most people would use their right eye when aiming the riffle. I use left one. I wouldn't have a carrier in the army, because the recoil will smash my face. -

Yes, don't be fooled by the uncorrected typo on theGoldtec site where they list them as 145

• #25824
Even if it was 145 it would probably still fit, ha.
Thanks.
