It's easy to let this thing sink into normality, especially with the church's use of language - it's expressions of 'regret at the incidents' -
Let's call it for what it is, in countries as far afield as Canada, the US and Ireland there is, and has been, widespread child rape by the Catholic church, old men violently forcing their erect cocks into crying children's mouths and anuses.
