• For sale is a pursuit frame which to the best of my knowledge is ex Yvonne McGregor MBE

It takes 700c front and rear, designed with no bridge for a brake but is still sold as a rock at the rear. Forks are not original but are of caliber, built by Corrado of Liverpool and are Columbus also. They are drilled for a brake if needed (may need spacers added or the thread cut for aesthetics).

The Dolan stickers have been removed from the down tube and some of the cyclists name from the top tube. It is stickered up for Yvonne McGregor MBE who won commonwealth gold back in 1994 and Olympic bronze in 2000 and its marked with a number ‘1’ on the BB shell. I have tried to get verification from Terry & Co and enquire as to the original set-up but after leaving several voice messages and sending many e-mails, I got nothing

    Measurements are:
    Seat-tube centre-to-centre 50cm
    Seat-tube centre-to-top 57cm
    Top-tube centre-to-centre 60cm
    Head-tube is 10cm
27.0 seatpost, bottom bracket is English.

The frame is in great shape there are no dinks and dents however the only downside is the condition of the white paintwork, there are quite a few chips and scratches but no rust at all. It could definitely benefit from a respray but in the meantime it still looks fine but well used.

I’m looking for £200, what I paid for it, including in this price is a new (50miles old) Miche BB and a Cane Creek headset, not new but lots of life left.

Dibs followed by PM’s, im in Hackney Downs for inspection – can post but prefer not, ask for costs.

cheers, dont really want to let it go but im funding a rossin pista

  • Nice frame. Measurements look funny though.

  • i thought you had the seat tube and top tube measurments the wrong way round till i saw the pic. have you ridden it? if so how tall are you? i only ask as i ride 60 + and wonder if it would fit (prob wouldn't)

  • Thinking about it, I think it's designed for a tall person with a mega long seatpost, being a TT frame.

mega mega long... or a custom jobby for a bloke who was all body and no legs...

Quite right, in this TT/Pursuit frame the top tube has been desinged longer than the seat tube to give required position for the track, must have used a longer seatpost to get the correct height for the rider

to give you an idea im 5'10 (&1/2) and it was a good fit with the right stem and bar combo, i.e. not much forward extension, but you wouldnt need to worry about that if you are taller

  • What length stem did you use? 60cm is a very long top tube for your height.

i'll fish out the exact size later but it was the shortest i could find at the time, i had no problems with the reach

sorry if i miss lead, i'm not in the market for a new frame. Hackney is my home town though and i'd love to see how it fits a 6 foot 3 bloke...
