Well, time and maybe asking either of the 2 UK dealers/importers. But guess you must have already asked them?

Joe at BMW has found enough tubing lurking about to make 15 more Gangstas in the factory in Brooklyn. They'll all be 46cm, and I know that at least 13 are spoken for. Not sure of the time scale but the top tubes are at the laser cutters at the moment. They're asking $850 f+f, and I think that includes a headset and seatpost. I was told the Taiwanese made versions will be available from the end of June, but will not have the double crown fork. I believe they'll have the clusterfork instead.

remember they have weird sizings- so a 46cm is probably quite big.

sadly he was almost killed when a newyork truckdriver ran him over, luckily it was only his bike that got trashed and not his body

They're making me a double crown fork with canti mounts and I'm having one of the last framesets, for a do it all road/offroad/cyclocross type build I've got going on. They've also made up some clusterforks with 990 mounts. The only thing you can't have is a normal road caliper due to the long a-c.

Shipping isn't too bad, customs will want their customary pound of flesh, but I've wanted one of these for soooo long and this is my last chance so I'm biting the bullet. Tokyo Fixed Gear had 1 left in a 50cm at £775 f+f but that's just too big for me (they have odd sizing)

what size tyres did you use on your Chocolate Starfish when you went off-roading on it scott?

The prototype of the new Gangsters is tank.
The Launchpad looks like a fuck load of fun but I didn't test ride it.
As for the SR6 with the hammerschmidt chainset. WANT.

I had the joy of trading in my polo mountain bike for a while and taking Gangster #1 for a ride. Currently equipped with a two speed kick back brake. There is nothing like bombing bridges on that shit.

I really want a two speed kickback brake, they're all kind of awesome, easier than it sound.

much cheaper i'm sure, although it doesn't say how much the brooklyn is. The fact it has 'Limited Edition' in the name has got to add a 1'er at least ;)

Thats they way it goes - they're not cheap anyway, but adding 'LE' to it makes it as precious as gold for some of us :D

I still prefer the raw paintjob myself, lets you get away with some scratches ;)

A quick heads up for anybody interested in the Brooklyn Launchpad frame.
There's gonna be either 2 or 3 frames available in the UK towards the end of May.
If anybody is SERIOUS about wanting one then let me know...i'll update with colour options as soon as i know what they are.
The price should be between £7OO-£75O for frame and forks.
