Wanted: 27 inch wheels

does anyone have a set of 27 inch wheels going? they don't have to be lovely, just enough to get a bike back on the road for a friend.

I have a newish rear wheel, rigida rim on quando hub. Currently fitted with two-speed freewheel (for running like a singlespeed) but I can provide a 6 speed block if your friend is running geared.

It's in vgc, running true, yours for £25. You can also have (free) a nice, older 27" front wheel that needs a bit of truing

have a nice pair of 27x1.1/4" Campag small flange Q/R hubs on Super Champion clinchers shod with new unridden Continental Ultra Sport tyres & tubes....

if you still not decided, i got a pair 27in sitting at home, can check what they are in the eve if you interested, it came off a bike i bought but have since put 700c instead, its got a 5spd cassete on, and new(ish) continental tyres, runs true to me and not seen much use, a bit of rust on the inside for some reason, i cleaned most of the visible rust on the rim, nw5 pick up, have them for £25, the tyres alone cost me more than that, ;)

sorry for hijacking but wondering are any of these wheels still available?

I have a set of 27 1/4 inch wheels, 25 plus years old but pretty much unused. Shimano Sante QR hubs inc skewers (126 OLD 7 speed uniglide ) Saturae rims (36h) if anyone is interested. Hutchinson Kevlar tyres of equal age/usage - hold air but a bit perished.

Rach.....the wheels have a Regina 5 cog close ratio block 15/19 in vgc also I was mistaken in saying they were Super Champion they are in fact Mavic Module E 27x1.1/4

In case anyway is still looking or newly looking I have a pair of 27" wheels. Nothing special alloy rims, steel hubs, some rust on the spoke nipples. Includes 6 speed block and cheap tyres but with lots of tread. Solid axles. Ideal for a hack or just to get on the road on a budget.

I'm on the look out for either rear 27" wheel that I can fit a fixed cog to or pair of large flange 27" wheels.
