Quite true, I did grow out of it, I used to want to own those keirin track frame, believing in all those silly nonsense about those 'magic' ride quality and all that codswallop.

Frankly the very short-lived Condor Pista of mine was the best fixed wheel bicycle I've owned and enjoyed, even though it's uglier and duller in appearance than Gordon Brown's collection of mustard stained ties, and I wouldn't exchange it for an second hand Nagasawa.

this blows + the disc isn't attached to anything unless there is a sneaky brake lever hiding - and if there is the exit from the stem top cap is too tight for it even work - am a missing something?

There is a lever, and you can see the white cable ties on the left fork tang. The angle isn't too tight if it's hydraulic hose, although I would be hesitant about putting hose through such a tight corner.
