  • hmm... more time better tourney, more notice, better teams, better local support, more time to find an awesome space.

and there will be the bff.

  • So we're basically not rising to the challenge? Hmpf.

  • It doesn't have to be the best or biggest tourney ever. Just a good one.

  • I don't think any of the N American teams will have booked their flights yet. So as long as we decide and let people know within a couple of weeks, I don't think the notice period will matter.

We could hold it at Newington. Booking cost is between £0 - £500 /day, depending on various factors.

There will be 27 N American teams coming to Europe in August. We won't get that next year. It seems a shame to waste this years opportunity.

  • If people are scared of setting up a dissapointing precedent for next year then don't set them up as the same thing.

  • "we're"... is just me.

  • No it isn't.

  • gash

  • As long as we're not treading on anyone else's toes (the London BFF, Munich etc), I think we should organise a 'proper' tournament this year.

    Tournaments are fun.

  • angie will send the info about the open weeks in munich this very day

  • sounds like a poll?

(i had a rocket salad, tomatoes and mozzarella, bread and a smoothie... just thought id let you know bill.)

  • weekend after Berlin will be ACE!

    POLO!!!!!

  • Riding freewheel may have side effects.

  • more tournaments in london would be awesome. Don't wait a year to make it the best. You just make them better when you follow up year after year. I think its a great idea. The east festival was great to watch and new people will get interested which is all good.

  • Yes do it this year!! FYI most N Americans I've spoke to ar considering flying to London first. PRE party!

    I had a burrito.

    And then a quesadilla.

And then a bar of chocolate.

    Don't tell Anna, tho.

  • I just heard from Angie in Munich. They are NOT hosting a tournament, they are just inviting people for throw-ins before and after the Worlds.

  • Do it.

  • if the date is free from other tourneys ( Munich in this case ) then let's do it.

Also, I don't see exactly how i could be helpful on the other end of the lake, but i'd like to get involved. Online communications ? International liaisons ? Cheerleading ? - whatever .

  • Hi there!
Bike Polo Munich invites you to play polo before and after the WHBPC.
