    If your looking to go fixed in the future. You want to be able to adjust the chain tension. So something with horizontal drop-outs is what you want.

    Also old bikes sell for the same as old frames. So you might as well try and pick up a complete bike.

    Once you you have the frame/bike it will be easy to decide what else you need. A proper fixed/singlespeed rear wheel is always a nice addition. But you can singlespeed a bike easy enough with the existing wheel, and swap this later to go fixed, to save money.
