Wow, ride announced to ride capped in 8 hours. We're gonna need to get some bigger trains. Oh well, wasn't going to be able to make the ride anyway, I'm going to pretend that having an old friend visit from far away makes up for the disappointment of missing this ride.
Not done this one before, looks to be a nice route.

Star Hill and Bayley's Hill are the ups, Sundridge is the severe down. If anyone wants more info, they'll probably get results as search terms on here.
Not forgetting the descent of Ide Hill Road.

The kent rides are probably the closest starts from london only 21-22 miles out from London Bridge to Otford, if its good weather its not a bad run out.(apart from OKR etc)

By the way, Google Maps streetview has now been extended to the sticks, so it might help you see what the hills are like on certain TNRC routes.

It's only just starting there. It's that next section which is the killer, it goes on and on and on.

This is interesting to compare Whitedown v Ranmore v a new slap in the face for me for the last two weekends, Winterfold @21% apparently starts at the lowest point and climbs to the highest in the area (SH)
