There are quite a few people listening to Folk and country type stuff, maybe there should be a dedicated thread?

Question:
The last song on the US self titled Gorillaz album has a fast raggae BONUS track with electronic beats sorta mash up thing. It's like fast aggressive modern beat driven raggae.
Anyone point me in the direction for more music like that?
I can find chill raggae, but i want sort of new aggressive not-so-chill raggae. I know shit all about raggae and dub. I do love Scientist and the like, but i'd like to get into some new stuff that is less chill.
help.
skip to about 5:15 or so

@Sorethroat, did you spin it? not really folky, try it.

that tune is mainstream, Gorillaz are magpies, cant think of anything like it because its such a melange,
try these

i'm not saying it's special. it was just an example. and i thought that since they are failrly mainstream in your land, you'd be able to point me in a better direction.
plus it sounds absolutely nothing like typical gorillaz
edit: what you just pointed me to just sounds like something i could have dug up on my own pretty easily by going to allmusic.com, entering scientist or lee scratch perry and going with similar artists.
edit II: but i did learn something [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riddim[/ame]

and for the record, i'm talking about the beat.
i just don't get excited about slow exagerated delays and horns.
but nuff here, i can tell i'm not gonna get anywhere.
i think i'll start here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riddim#Producers

It reminds me of that guy that used to be in Million Dead/ Billy Bragg/ someone else whos name I cant remember who used to play in New Cross a lot and wrote a song about Laura Marling. Not really my cup of tea to be honest.

Frank Turner? I quite like some of his stuff.

Thats the one, it upsets me hearing his solo work.

It does seem strange to jump genres like he did, I haven't really heard much MD but there are a few tracks I like. Must get hold of some more!
I saw Million Dead a few years back, played at about a million miles an hour! Quite impressive. -

Really good live, saw em a few times. Shame they broke up.
I like that lots of people are listening to him though, a million times better than almost everything else in the charts. Hes a clever guy as well, went to Oxford or Cambridge I think

I have just spent the last 2 hours at my daughters school disco, it was like being trapped in MMccarthy's i-pod.
My head hurts.
