Whilst on lists of stuff people need, I am helping a mate convert his old Gazelle town bike into what will become the first Anti-Hipster fixed wheel to hit the streets of Paris.
I need the following (all must cost beer or very few ££):
1 inch quill stem 26mm clamp
25mm seatpost
Square taper cranks.
Any reasonable front wheel (preferably 8mm axle not QR)
Rear fixed wheel (idealy with a wider hub spacing, anything up to 135mm or it will be cold setting time).
Deep drop (about 70mm) front brake caliper.
If anyone has any of the above that they dont need, let me know.
Also - will need to drill the fork crown as it used to have a drum brake. There is a hole in the back half of the crown but it does not go all the way through to the front. I would imagine that a handheld drill is not the answer. I dont supose anyone has a bench drill?
I have the stem and seat post and maybe a rear wheel.
