Really need track time before GF, gutted if it's too wet. I've had all winter on a turbo and the last two track sessions I was just getting back into it

It's looking okay if the forecasts are to be believed. Shame I'll not make it down, hopefully I'll be able to in a few weeks' time.

forecast has just changed, looks good!

The road outside is wet, my gut feeling is that we won't be getting on the track at 0900!

It's still lightly raining here, what's it doing there? If it's not raining but air is damp will the track dry?
-

hmmm I need to get my bike down to HH soon. Will have to try and borrow a car again to get it there. Don't want to miss too many more of these :(

Good one again today. 10.30am start, 1pm finish, due to damp track and no wind till about 11.
Legs were a bit heavy due to some deadlifting on Thursday, and adjusting to 3 more gear inches, but managed to stick with it.
The skills thing was good - nervous as fuck for a few laps, but happily spending half a lap like Siamese twins joined at the shoulder by the end (one short twin and one tall one).
Skinsuit fitting in the gents was a joy :/

I was very slow today, jumped up 4GI from 86 to 90 when it should have been 88 really. Enjoyed the session but my timing was all over the place

I can't believe it didn't rain!
I'm gutted about missing a chance to play around on the track, but I guess the road miles are important too.
Is there an evening session coming up soon? Is there a ladies session next week? -

I liked seeing that bike porn thread-worthy Level NJS frame being given a good thrashing by the fast Norwood Paragon rider. And the seat tube badge on y-s new frame from Bonavia was class too.
Oh yeah and err, the actual riding of bikes was fun too.

usual HH stuff - you wake up and see water on the ground outside but a few hours later you're spinning round the track. first time out this year but quickly got back into it; most worried about the little bits of grit spraying up from the wheel in front. very dirty innit?

it's the aggregate from the track surface coming up, hopefully it will die down with a few more weeks of riding

It was like eating sandwiches on the beach.

I raced at Hillingdon yesterday in the heavy rain in skinsuit, and by the end it felt like I had rolled around sandy beach in wetsuit...
