  • Mr Grooves again on Tower Bridge this morning, this time with a fully working bike.
Oh and a guy on a beautiful converted purple and bright pink Klein I keep seeing on my commute, never get close enough to see if its fixed or ss, nearly caught you up today in Clapham but got caught at the lights. You have a brown brooks saddle and have either a camo bag or camo shorts and wear a lid. Sir, your bike is fucking lovely.

  • a dude rocking some white spokage track standing at bricklayers arms about 8.50.

  • 8:20ish this fine morning on old street I saw a chap with a white skate lid riding a bright yellow ss conversion with fluro yellow saddle, yellow v brakes(!), yellow grips on riser bars and deep section 26" wheels. looked like a blast to ride!

then a few mins later on Shaftsbury ave another white skate lid wearer this time riding a silver BMW gangsta with Paul royal flush cranks and a black aerospoke up front. mate your chain was so slack that I could hear it over the traffic! I thought it was gonna fall off right there and then, dangerous stuff.
seriously though, if you work in the west end and need a chain breaker to sort that shit out just let me know and I'll hook you up :) 2+ grands worth of rig deserves it!

  • Lee to OKR, blue biked fixed rider track racer. Had a little natter. First guy i've seen in ages giving it a real push on the way in, cheers for keeping the pace up and sorry for the OKR drop, thought you were right behind me.
(if it's any consolation i caught the black spoked specialized guy before the e+c roundabout)

Also, white and red lovely Holdsworth singlespeed, being ridden by a shaved-legged guy with a fair bit of speed to him, e+c to Waterloo. What a lovely morning.

On the ride back from the view last night I had a grin on my face thinking how all the Lewisham Lee Eltham Sidcup trawl would be behind me, but on the way in this morning I realised I bloody love the miles. Could always commute in via Crystal Palace so I get my hills and miles in...

  • This morning on the fixolord trade route:

    • Bright red Pinarello, converted to SS
    • Canary Yellow with his flouro sPOC
    • Tatty orange Mercian (san serif decals), white barber's pole
    • Carmen Sandiego
  • Who's the guy I keep spotting on the same corner of Regent's park - black fixie (w/bullhorns?), always wearing a grey AA hoody and ipod headphones ( think I actually caught you singing your heart out the other day!)...You must be on here?

I was fixed on the silver/black Gazelle w/black deep v's the other day and geared today on a red Eddy Merckx...

  • Guy wearing white helmet and riding a red and white Fuji track bike riding West on the hipster highway this morning about 8am. Nice ride my friend.

  • hey 6pt - I shoulda guessed you know about this place! was nice to meet this AM but yeah dropped it on OKR - very friday legs today! - and then off to great dover st. good to hear you caught the specialised - thought he cheated a bit going thru the lights. another time!

i either come into work at c.7am or c.9am so might see you round, but you should make it to the track ...

  • Spotted (by MOC) at lunchtime in St Katharines Dock, someone riding a bike with a stuffed (or very well trained) fawn (young deer)over the handlebars.

No it wasnt wearing a helmet.

Balls, I'm normally making my way down Eltham Hill at 9:05 so unlikely to catch up with you for a while, a shame because today's ride in was one of the better ones.
The track is definitely on the to do list though, fewer traffic lights than the OKR run for sure.

Do you go out on any of the DP Saturday runs? I used to catch the painful ones with (the now nicked? white cervelo) Scott and other names I can't remember a summer or two back, and now the weather's sorting itself out a bit will probably start on them again.

Does remind me, I saw someone with a German Sheperd style dog tucked under their arm, cycling along Horseferry rd a few evenings back

I went on my first DP Saturday run last...........Saturday. Was quite a good little route though trying to pick the best group to head off with will take some time. Started in the last group at the back and made my way through till i felt comfortable
