Imploding Birmingham - post apocalyptic thread

don't know if this is old news but I found out today Tempest- Birminghams finest independent record store is closing down in a few weeks.

Tempest RIP.

Has anyone seen anything good come out of these closures? that aint rhetorical, i am genuinely asking. theres what used to be virgin records across the street and became some entertainment place, now its empty. huge building, on a super busy street in bham city centre, empty.

Arggh. should just downsize and focus on more merch/limited edition type stuff.

If there is a place for a physical format record store, it has to include places like tempest surely?

In kings heath, I think Polar Bear is still there. But the cool camera shop is not.
