  • darn it!
i shall be gettin on my way to being drunk by this point as its my birthday night out, but ill swing by and say hello for registration.
was well up for taking part :(

  • Sounds good, although it won't be in daylight. I've somehow never thought of a night time alleycat!
Should be able to make it, although it's the last day of school for me so a party might have to take priority. Maybe I'd have time for both?!

  • Wicked poster!

  • can we have this as the theme?

    YouTube- Broadcast Yourself.

  • Make a video out of the event and accompany it with that song?

    no

  • But the song is so great! ;)

    Ride first, party after.

  • How about
YouTube- Blondie - Hangin' On The Telephone

    That's the one...

  • Matt, could you or anyone else describe rules of alleycat briefly? I'm no new to the idea of stupid collection racing around the city (more woods than city, in fact) but as we didn't call them races "alleycats", I presume there can be some subtle differences in rules.

For the start, what is considered a "point"? And how do you progress with them - you have a whole list from the start or part of it or get next one upon reaching current or what?

  • probably in london that evening, damn!

  • fun times

  • Big prizes for coming last ?

  • Pasha, they all vary really. It's a bit of a stretch calling this an Alleycat really. I mean it's Cambridge, it's hardly New York or London. The way we did it last time we had a map with a number of checkpoints which you can visit in any order but you have to go to them all. Once you've been through all of them you go back to the start and we take down your time.

  • I sent you a p'm saying I would be more than happy to help out because I'm not sure I want to race!

  • You so want to race.

  • Okay, sounds simple and good!

  • I've got some really naff prizes for this , are you collecting prizes ?

  • I've got some really naff prizes for this , are you collecting prizes ?

Yeah totally, I've got a small first prize but other than that nothing... except of course the reputation of being Awesome Champion Spring 2010.

  • so its like an orienteering thing? Sounds cool i'd like to try.

  • And there are prizes for being ironic

  • One week today... ohhhh shit.

  • It is worth pointing out at this point CAMERA PHONE, small DIGITAL CAMERA, even a POLAROID... Basically any instant picture taking device is MANDATORY for entry.
