probably not, check the connection of rear stays and seat tube lug, GIOS trademark
Just collected this from the seller... It looks good I think. Funny flat seat stays at the top and cutout bottom bracket shell. It looks pretty good to me. I hadn't heard of gios before yesterday. Paint has been touched up a fair bit but it should polish up well. If I like it, maybe a re-spray.

well that was a very good price for a Gios frame, you're lucky.

only mentioned it because there were some notorious fake gios' back in the day, from mexico i think. Seemed to recall it culminated in the rather obsessive mr gios stamping his frames with gios 20 times or more to stop counterfeiters.

The frame is repainted with new not so good reproduction decals. Model unknown and one need to check serial number and date that are stamped on the left rear dropout for verification of model/tubes. Also the handlebar is not original and looks like an ugly road bar.
not that unknown...

Whaaat! I have one of those frames. They are heavy, bottom end Raleigh stuff. Turned into a good little fixed beater but I only paid £35 for the frame. I saw another 'Equipe' on the bay advertised as having a carbon frame (the guy had read the 18-23? 'carbon'-controlled cr-mo sticker). He's probably on drugs.

He declined my offer of £23.50. I assumed he had forgotten the decimal place.
