Well, all that shit could happen in Hackney as well.
Since I live in SE15 I feel much safer than when I lived in E8 or E5.
Way less dodgy stuff encountered down here so far.
That said, I did spot some kids sitting on some wall in the dark below a tree one day just of Clifton Way.
One of them was stepping into the light and going like "oi, mate, have a look at this!" while I could see the others jumping off the wall but staying in the dark behind. Needless to say I didn't stop. Pretty sure they would jump me.
Also, if I recall correctly there were a couple of attempted muggings on the Cycle Route towards Bermondsey that crosses OKR and then goes through the small streets behind the Tesco.
Can't find a link to that though.
