Patti Smith- 'dream of life' , last night, pretty good actually, shes a bit of a magpie, on the button politically and liked some of the songs. Some of the poetry was slightly nauseating but its rare that you like everything someones done anyway.
rating:- worth making.
Busy week for films, finally got 'The Road' here,
then 'up in the air' and possibly fit in 'Where the wild things are' if I get lucky. -

just walked out of the first Romanian film and possibly the last I will ever see,
'Boogie', there was definately no dancing going on......
we are getting most of the abovementioned in the next month or so, Micmacs high on my list, also going to read 'Alice' because I never have, before the film, even though Burtons one will be wild and way off text, will be fun to look at them both with fresh eyes. -

judging by the poster, that looks like it will be popular amongst the school-age audience, not sure what the film will be like... ( other than guessing absolute wank)
if we are going on an ironic viewing fest when is the spectacular Tron legacy coming out? thats going to be quality shit. -

- I eat pieces of shit like you for breakfast.
- You eat pieces of shit for breakfast?
- .........no.
Happy Gilmore: I got into this tournament for one reason: money. And now I have a new reason: kicking your ass!
Shooter McGavin: Well, I'd like to see you try.
Happy Gilmore: [Picks up beer bottle and smashes it in half] Let's do it, then!
Shooter McGavin: I meant on a golf course!
Virginia: Hey! What's going on here, huh?
Happy Gilmore: Oh, uh, I was just looking for the other half of this bottle and there's some of it and there's some of it right there, too.
Virginia: Why don't you just put it down?
Happy Gilmore: Yeah, I know. - I eat pieces of shit like you for breakfast.

seen 'Precious' ?
had some good moments, one shot in particular where the camera revolves around her completely tothe backdrop of iconic figures of American history (M.L.K) etc.
Unusual to see America doing dark subject matter, and there was some strength in the characterisation, once she started to drag herself through the school the interaction shown between classmates was great, I even started to feel that this was going to be one of the best U.S films for a while, then the scene in which Precious reveal she has aids comes on, and the teacher tells her to write about it,- stretched the redemption through education theme too far for me, and it became just a good film of a story. All in all, worth making though. -

Really wanna see Micmacs...aaarrrgggghhhh.
Watched In the Loop on iPlayer yesterday as missed it when it was out - fucking laugh out loud funny!
-

i've steered clear of precious because it looks so depressing. micmacs is good, really enjoyed it.
The questions i have are, is it worth seeing alice in wonderland in 3d? because it is not cheap.
and is the girl with the dragon tattoo really dubbed? because if it is, that is shit.

Guarenteed that'll be WANK!

Definitely, but in the best possible way.
Like a nice wank in the shower rather than an awkward handjob round the back of a club; you might not admit to enjoying it but you'd sure as shit do it again.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is not dubbed (or the version I saw wasn't). I wouldn't mind if it was TBH, 'cos Swedish gets to sound really annoying after 2 hours, oh and the film ain't all that.
haha.
my boss just asked me if i wanted some popcorn :)
