  • Need to carve a custom woodblock to do it properly... i was just experimenting to see how much force was needed, used the rubber coated handle end of a shimano chainwhip cable tied on to the outside of the stay and was using a 3cm long piece of 6mm? allen key as the tool, barely even dented the stay mind you that was only 120mm? G clamp, need to get my hands on something a bit more serious, or use a bench vice (depending on frame clearance)

    The tubing on the Cutters must be pretty tough, especially when it's such a small diameter like on the stays...

    Fancy making me a caul to use...?! bet you've got all the right woodworking eqpmnt to hand huh...? Wish i had a shed...!

    You can't apply enough force with a G clamp to crimp the stays?! Jeesus. What are you using as a caul?
