Jo, I've only just found this thread. That's terrible to hear. It sounds as if you have a very clear-cut case, you've done everything right, and it'll be resolved very easily on the compensation side. Shame you had such a rotten birthday! Your abdominal and spine pains sound worrying, though--don't take these lightly and insist on being checked out properly. I'm afraid I don't even know what specialist would be appropriate there.
