  • Instead of nit picking, perhaps better would be to address the problem?
    Perhaps there's a need to better educate the drivers - especially the professional ones (cab, van and HGV drivers)?
    Also, the roads are getting more and more busy and some have this attitude, like it's still 60s and there are 3 cars on the road. Of course it's really hard to see everything from the driver's seat in the HGV (or evan a white van - I used to drive Mercedes Sprinter). Even more confusing with motorbikes and mopeds in the bus lane, over- and undertaking you at the same time. They also often miss pedestrians who are too close to the cabin.

    A perfect solution would be a cycle superhighway East-West where the whole road or alleyway dedicated to bicycles and bicycles only, like in Holland or Belgium, but of course London is lacking space for separated cycling lanes with shrubs on both sides etc (even then, probable groups of scallies would use them as shortcuts or meeting spaces).
