here in the states, we have a number of standard forks form the likes of Performance and Nashbar. I'm not even looking, but i'm sure they have it.

I would not consider any of these forks an upgrade, or even any thing other than a simple replacement. Mine work for a commuter, but i didn't like hammering on it.
