• If you both want one wheel each... well, there are two of them, so it shouldn't be a problem.

    My outlook on running tubs is simple - buy the cheapest. Seal it when there's a small puncture. Change it if there's a gash. Go cheap and use tape - it's simple, cheap and quick. There's no point to spend over £50 on a tubular tyre, because they will not give you any more puncture protection, just less rolling resistance. I prefer Vittoria tubs (Rally Competion on the rear, Juniores on the front) to cheap Contis, because they are more suitable on normal roads, as you are not going to do Tour de France or go on the track. If you kind find Tufo tubs, they have proven themselves as quite tough as well, but the are completely slick, so I'm not sure how they behave when is wet.
