both fortunatley and unfortunately i aint got any pictures but i was going up a small but rather steep bank out of the saddle and my lockring and cog slipped, well the lockring just sheered the threads and was completely buggerd. i went over the bars and used my face as a brake and smashed my groin into the quill stem. any way ive got a fairly neat harry potter scar on me head and ended up with balls like large plums and a groin that was a lovely shade of BLACK it took weeks for my groin to heel and felt like i was pissing razor blades for days.
best way to learn to tighten a lock ring?
forget once. -

Under the theme near misses... Almost ended up under a Volvo tank on Sunday when a near-blind OAP pulled out of Asda in Gosforth and didn't see me till I was two inches from his bonnet. Some fake tan bint in a sports car pulled up beside me after the roundabout where I was still shaking like a sh1tting dog. I thought she was going to ask if I was OK, but she just said "Get some f*ing road tax you tosr" and drove off... Nice!

my lucky streak just came to a sudden brutal end yesterday afternoon. i was sitting in the house pondering weather to take my mountain bike or fixed gear to college decided on the fixed (quicker option yet regretable) was flying down my street on the pavement and came to the junction and i just seen this car on the junction i stiffend my legs and began to skid down the ramp but some walley had been cleaning their car and there was loads of soapey water on the ramp, and i couldnt stop, i went right into the side of the car came off he ran over my leg and fucked my knee up im now in crutches doing jack shit and no riding for weeks

My comute to work was going fine , i got onto byker bridge ahead of traffic but then started to hold up the cars behind me Due to air resistance/wind with sirens in my ears I heard nothing (ambulance behind me) so some fucker decided it would be a goo idea to over take me then pull over right in front of me !
I just managed to take enough speed off not to ketchup myself then chucked myself over the barrier forgot to knock the guy out doh! Picked my bike up and dashed on my way only to descover great damage ..............

Did you not politely invite him to take the remainder of his journey in the aforementioned ambulance?
-

I like to keep cool and just ride off as if nothing had happend it probs works better cuz they don't know when I could pop up from behind a negitive space in time!

Nearly had a bad spill the other week. I was on the aero extensions and tried to stop peddling (amateur mistake) to avoid a pothole. Did an endo at about 25 mph. Pretty damn scary.

Stupid skinny tyres and there inability to take on cracks.
Riding down the street about to cross over and my front wheel got caught in a crack between 2pavement slabs and I hit the deck. Ripped bar tape, bumped knees and a good bucket full of shame. -

Fuck. I always think about that happening ! Fingers crossed.
At the end of my journey home I hit an underpass that leads to a blind bend ,
if I judge it right I don't shit myself fearing hiting the wall ,if I take it a bit fast my turn forces me to skim the wall well today it was somwhere in between only, some kind soul decided to place a shopping trolley in the only place I couldent dodge it without breaking flesh thus hiting it square on! I wish it was a puppy or somthing equaly breakable /unimportant I'm realy going to miss that frame :(
