I'm seeing the surgeon tomorrow and hope that he can give me a realistic date. The nurse yesterday, who was very impressive and clearly very experienced, said that it would be a matter of weeks for the hole to fill and that there was no short cut. I have an inch and a half deep hole in my arse which needs care and time to heal over. Maybe a month from now. Etape de Caledonia is looking dodgy as is the Tour of Wessex. Long steady rides this summer to get rid of weight and build core fitness for a spectacular year in 2011.
