I am so up to my eyeballs in hack bikes & bits, that I have stuck to riding this frame for nearly 2 years as my main "best" bike! Even though it is completely the wrong size for me.
I have not even been allowing myself to think about getting another bike because I have no room, but I have finally decided. This really has to go.
It is a beautifully made frame, which has very tidy lugs & brazing. Very nice quality cast ends, brake bridge and fork crown. The fork is actually very interesting, it is a steel aero design which I have only seen on high end tomassini's. The fork legs are round, suggesting they are also columbus steel.
The main downfall is the paintjob, which seems to be the livery of a dutch energy company. The blue parts are painted exceptionally well, it even has a very slight iridescent sparkle. The white bits and the wording is however a bit messy. Still, I think it looks cool and individual. I liked it anyhow.
The geometry is tight & racey, but the BB is fairly low. I have always ridden it fixed though.
The size is 56cmx56cm, the rear spacing is 126mm. BB is english thread. There is internal routing.
The frame uses an oddly sized seapost, which I hunted down at inflated prices. I will include it in the sale, it is a aero design too, which goes well with the forks. Also a good quality needle bearing headset. (unless you dont want it?)
Ill go with a price of £90ono, including the extra bits. But not including delivery, which will be the price of a train or coach ticket from Birmingham to London. (around £15 I think)
I have had it built up in various ways over the past couple years, this is one of them:
