They are road cranks, I use Stronglight Impact which are the same cranks.

You can use OldSkool Sugino BMX chainrings, you can still get them for £6 at Alans BMX but they've just got gold in 43t and 45t. The cranks alone are £71 at HubJub. I'd say that's a good price.

stoked because i took a risk and bought it! was planning on replacing the chain ring anyway so thats good.
