Custom stem by Bishop (i think);

not really, it mean you get to use the double (even triple) chainring to compensate.
42/36 with 14/20 would give a nice flat gear and a nice climbing gear. (probs only useful if you have long climbs to deal with).

it's perfect for you actually (was it you who did the epic hillclimb on a fixed wheel Bob Jackson), spinny for hillclimb and whirly for downhill.

Insurance for a leg?
NHS will supply you with any kind of leg and will develop one for you for whatever need/desire.
A waterproof leg my mate got recently cost around £13,000 to make and was free, awesome.

so wheres the diffrence to a road bike ? why not just lock your freehub with cassette somehow and have a geared fixed transmishion ?
as i said i like the idea, to me it still dont make much sense, if you like to change gears than get a road bike, if you dont than your with SS, simple as it is. -
• #27475
Because the road cassette isn't design for fixed transmission, also you can't use 1/8th chain too.
really nice lugwork,would love to know what that is....
