So get someone you know in Evans (there's a few on here) to order it in.. it then becomes stock. :)

Maybe ask someone in the finance dept why it's only Evans. The scheme is government-backed, but the Inland Revenue simply says that it has to be from an approved supplier - I was looking at the approved suppliers list in my area today and as far as I could see it was every bike shop I know of and a few more.

http://www.cyclescheme.co.uk/ - you can search for approved local suppliers on there.

A number of schemes only allow a certain supplier. Ours only lets you have Halfords, and while they offer a load of bikes (more than you'd think), I couldn't find anything that really piqued my interest either (so didn't bother!)

Sadly the Evans scheme is set up as a proprietary scheme - similar to cyclescheme bur restricted to their own store. If Gizmond's company is signed up to the Evans scheme he is up the proverbial creek.

I feel you pain Guy. Was going to sign up myself this year only to discover our frankly useless HR department had switched from Cyclescheme to Evans. When I queried the reason I was told it was because Evans was just around the corner!

why are people grizzling at evans? they have a bigger range of bikes than anyone else.

That BMC looks sick!
Is that it for the Pearson then?
Or are you going for the holy trinity (classic fixed, modern ti, fucking fast geary)?!
-

the ti is going to be in inactive for a while, so i can pay for the bmc, but when my money is sorted out again that will be it
Just found out I can have up to £2500 through my works cycle to work scheme, but its Evans, or nothing at all, no exceptions :-(((
Even with two and a half grand to spend, there is not one single thing that I can find on their site that I want. (cycle to work only allows regular stock items, no special order)
Pointless.
