No lie I had a kidney transplant July 2008. Started dialysis when I was 19 due a condition I have called Alports syndrome. I was on dialysis 3 1/2 years and i really can't explain what a difference the transplant has made. I wouldn't be riding my bike around everyday for sure. My doner was a 34 year old woman, died from an Athsma attack. Got the call at about 4am 12th July.
Obviously I'm all for the possible new law of opt out donation. It's changed my life completely.

Lynx your fist question seems unnecessary as the others are aimed at those who are against it.

I'm removing myself from the registry, I feel that most people don't really deserve to live and they wont let me say "I only want my organs going to people who do not recive any kind of state aid or have children or don't live in a real city or whom don't work in fashion, music or entertainment ect"

puts fireproof suit on
I've registered to donate my organs when I die, I've made that decision since I was 18.

I won't have mine going to people who can't spell.

organ donation MUST become opt out.
In fact we should even have financial incentives for live organ donation.

I'd donate mine, but to be honest, there not really worth having. I've caned the living fuck out of my innards. You'd be better of having a dig through a butcher's dustbin than receiving my liver...

I think you should definitely give your organs away...
...now

This one is nice
I'd play the fuck out of that.

"my organs not too small, your chapel is too big!"

I don't agree with organ donation. Most of these beggars on the street are just going to waste them on drink and drugs. Fuck em, it's their choice to sit around on street corners and be grubby. Don't get me wrong mind, I will give an organ to places like Shelter every now and again. I know full well they love a nice healthy cornea every now and again and will put it to good use.

I feel fine about it.
No. I don't. No. Yes.

All for presumed consent, you wouldn't believe how may people die waiting for organs - until that happens you should all register here http://www.organdonation.nhs.uk/ukt/default.jsp
Then go out in the rain brakless with no lights. Great fun.

I registered a couple of hours ago, only took less than a min, depends how fast you can type out your name and address.

My donor card says all my organs are available but not to piss heads or smack heads who have destroyed their own through abuse. Whether they will take that seriously who knows

Agree with Zane. If you believe in organ donation, then get registered. I also have a dog tag on my keyring that along with my contact info states that I'm a registered donor.

It's unlikely anyone will want mine what with the class A's that have been dumped in there in the past.

Always had a donor card - the only thing to put me off was them giving one to George fucking Best, who got thru livers like they were nappies - shit em and throw em away.

I've been pickling mine in Vodka and JD for years ;p
I have opted in but I suppose at my age my body parts are as useful as a 30 year Ford Sierra
So how do you feel about organ donation?
Do you feel that its wrong? Why do you feel that way? Or do you feel that you want to be buried whole yet would accept an organ from others? Or do you believe its a right thing to happen?
