Did you get their details? You have no recourse if you're injured or want to claim without their details.

Yes totally. Glad I was only a few minutes from home lol. No didn't get their details. Wish I had as there were several witnesses around. Frankly I just wanted a hot bath

without witnesses its tough Hippy.
best bet is to get the bike looked at properly - make sure there are no hidden bits then get back on it as soon as you can. good thing is the weather is up there for you -

Already back on the bike today, though I felt a bit shaky.

My 2p: Print out a copy of the 'What to do in case of an accident' thread 1st post, highlight a few main bits, keep it with you in your wallet, commuting bag, handbag, whatever. It will remind you to do all the things you forget to (or don't think necessary) when all the adrenalin is pumping.
Glad you're back on the bike again already.
So I was riding along Downs Park Road last night at about 6.45pm when a silver people carrier pulls straight across from the junction of Cecilia Road without slowing down or even looking. I'm sent flying through the air and land on my back on the pavement while my bike ends up across the other side of the road. So scared I pissed my pants literally. Got up and started having a go at the driver who was apologising profusely. Loads of witnesses, including several friends of mine, but decided (probably wrongly) not to get plod involved. Still shaken now, and have £40 to repair bike, which I somehow think won't cover the damage. Just glad I was on my charge racer as I dread to think what would have happened to an aluminium frame.
