For cycling to become a successful and established sport at universities, it first needs a much broader base. Even some very popular sports struggle to maintain membership in university clubs. I'm afraid it's not really a goer yet, although that doesn't mean that it couldn't work in a couple of universities if they develop a culture of trailblazing there. Universities could do a lot more to support cycling in general, of course.
