Jesus, that's nasty. Me and a mate went by not long after it happened. I saw the smashed back window, cops, bikes on the ground but thankfully no pools of blood.
No cops were measuring the road so we hoped it was nothing too serious.
There were some impatient arseholes out there today in cars.
Overtaking on blind bends, and refusing to slow down even through some of the black ice (of which there was quite a lot today.)
Hope the cyclist is OK.
It's a shame that it slightly spoils what was otherwise a really good event. The organisers and those taking part were really friendly, and we had fun on what was our first ever sportive.
Will deffo do it again next year.
