I'm sure this doesn't really belong here since:
a) its a new geared bike
b) opening a box and putting the wheels, handle bars and seat post in place really doesn't count as a "project bike".
But fuck it, I'm so excited about this thing right now and my girlfriend just doesn't understand.
This lovely box was awaiting my return today. Have never been so excited to get back to Bahrain and the lovely dark little apartment work are putting me up in.
This think was very well packed, everything zip tied onto a thick card backing board, it really was like opening up a new Transformer as a kid.
Not much assembly required...
...but still more than I can get done with my complete lack of tools. Got to wait for my CRC order to turn up with a some new cycle gear and tools, a bit wasteful but cheaper than flying back to the UK to dig the current stuff out of storage.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but I've always loved these frames, crazy aluminium lugs and matching wicked carbon tubes.
Details:
BMC Team Machine SLT 2009 in XL 61cm in Swiss Team colours
Sram Force Groupset
Easton finishing kit (EA50 wheels, EA 90 Stem, EA70 bars, EC70 seat post)
Speedplay Zero Pedals
