  • …and here it is.

  • Thanks for a great session. I enjoyed it all, apart from trying to hang onto that berserk first pursuit in my 81" gear.

    Enjoying food now.

  • Arrived at my flat, and opened the door to the aroma of freshly home-baked cheese scones. Nom nom nom.

  • Cheese and ham pasty thing + a vodka and coke ftrw

  • That's tester food.

  • Testicle food.

  • Good shout on a new thread; lots of things done gone changed since last season :)

  • Like your lungs.

  • How's the new bike feel, Steve? Decided not to hang around yesterday, seeing you lot going around the track was driving me nuts... ;]

  • That was tough, but good.
Steve was like a new rider, FAST!

  • Steve, did you use carbon ass paste for your seatpost? You have a P-X right?

  • ^ yes the tacx stuff. No movement at all. The new PX seatposts are textured too but mine is very low with my diddy legs.

  • You might have little legs Steve, but you was flying!

Good to see everyone who came along. I promise I'll ride next time.

  • found that really hard....even the warm-up

  • I can't say I'm looking forward to my first session this year... :S

  • Some people's winter training has clearly paid off! Others still seem to be able to fly without any (or so they say...)

  • I like my new wheels - definitely more 'direct' feeling than my old 32 x3 Open Pros.

Can I get some feedback on my position from the coaches or whoever? It sort of felt okay, and I felt like both wheels were more planted (having shifted myself a centimetre forward via seatpost/stem), but I suspected my saddle could come up a little (which might mean raising the bars 5-10mm for the sake of my back, and the need to peer through spectacles).

Just wondering if anyone noticed anything 'wrong-looking'. I've not looked at myself in the mirror or posted photos of me riding on a turbo like some kind of fucking psycho loser weirdo.

  • It was a well organised good session today. I was suffering from chesty coughs I seem to always get at the end of cold, and found sprinting really hard and tiring.
I had my normal race gear(90") on and found it too big for the session today, except when we did that pursuit thing which I enjoyed the most.

  • Apart from someone moving up into the path of the fast pursuit group (despite half a lap of people yelling 'STAY DOWN!!!'), the riding was very predictable today, without too much concertina action.

No offence to the Saturday crew, but it's the kind of thing that makes the whole experience much more enjoyable, init.

  • I was on 88 which felt ok, 90 can wait till the sun actually warms me.
As for videoing youself on your bike to check set up, I did that yesterday, I looked well fit! I was nude.

they changed everything so saturday wasn't as bad as last year. actually i think that it was really good. at the end of the season last year i was a bit put off but this new structure is good. people who have just finished induction don't ride with everyone afterwards. not that i am that fast but at least i try no to be a pain to other people.

  • In for next week. Would have come along today but was ill prepared!

  • ^nice Tom

I was on 92". I'm not sure what I was thinking when I put it on.

  • Yeah, I videod myself on the rollers, it's a reasonable way to keep check provided you know what to look for!

  • ^you'd better keep your clothes on though.

It was the first time I've ridden track with a computer. Notched up 37 miles on the 'boards', and 6.5 each way from Old St for a nice round 50. It's like getting-the-miles-in or something.
