My girl Vicki is secretary of a charity takes veterans to Normandy each year. For this reason I am aware that he donates massive sums of money to the NVA (Normandy Veterans Association). He spoke at NVA do at Duxford Airfield/ Imperial War Museum on Sunday. Legend.

Aside from the mental strength required, how can someone with barely average fitness even consider it, and would every step after a couple of days not be utter agony due to foot sores?

very entertaining and worth a gander i reckon...

He is a very strange man. Much stranger than I had imagined before seeing that programme. Fascinating to see how he propelled himself to run a ridiculous distance.
