Oliver; this only makes sense if you know that any other course of action would have left you uninjured; which you don't. You may have slipped on a banana skin and ended up with a broken neck had you been more patient. It was not impatience that did for you it was not looking where you were walking. Perhaps you need some Walking Training. I believe Walking Training UK offer two hours lessons, starting from the basics of Level One (putting your shoes on) right up to Level Three (Walking and chewing gum at the same time).

I did contact WTUK some time ago, but I'm afraid we only got to about a quarter of the way through the initial assessment of my walking ability before the trainer ran away screaming into the distance. I don't know why--maybe he was wearing uncomfortable shoes (someone supply a 'trainer' pun, please)? Strangely enough, every time I call them, they hang up the phone saying they'll call back, but I don't think they have. I'll persevere.
