one other avanti 531 on ebay sold ... not much help with the history of the manufacture
but maybe clues... -

maybe it is the aus/nz firm after all - the decals on this look pretty similar.

They are Kiwi. I have one of their mountain bikes. Not sure if the frame in question is the same. Looks too old and they specialise in aluminium.

is it a special version of the holdsworth? only the 1982 first yr of their avanti frame was 531... but it appears holdsworth always kept their brand name emblazoned across all their frames until 1987 when they used a, presumably smaller 'Made by Holdsworthy Co Ltd' decal on some frames...

Hi all,
My google skills have failed. Anyone know anything about this frame/company?
It's 531, has campag dropouts and the original hardware is campag mirage with cinelli bars/stem. The BB shell shows the serial number 'S1179'
All it says on the frame is 'Avanti' which I'm guessing is the maker, although the only Avanti I can find online is the Australian/NZ firm... any ideas?
