  • It's still early day, but we're not keeping our hope up, better to deal with it now than to get even more disappointed when it doesn't turn up eventually.

least we still got another bicycle luckily.

I know what you mean - as sad as it is - reality bites!!

  • Misnomer alert!

He ought to be fined for that pic. :)

I blame Panasonic - point and shoot rubbish!

  • wilson bro's saddle?

  • wilson bro's saddle?

    Gran Compe

  • Oh my. That makes me envious. Looks lovely.

    Keep on saving, I guess.

  • Lovely frame Mark, I look forward to seeing it in the flesh some day.

  • +1

    Looks sweeeeeeeet!

    You has PM ...

  • Been following this in current projects. Beautifully conceived bike.

Totally deserving of its own thread, providing you correlate the pics from current projects. To give us a blow-by-blow of its conception ;)

  • Mr Pix, that is truly gorgeous, I love those lugs with their gusset re-enforcement all that polishing, very labour intensive, which chain is that?

  • I think the lugs are somewhat gothic, is it coming down Monday?

  • It looks fucking insane, Mark.

Can't wait to see it on Monday.

  • with that much seatpost and handlebar stem exposed the frame looks like its a size too small.

    sorry if i missed something.

  • Thought the same

  • Yeah I thought it would be in bad taste to say considering it's custom :S

  • 'Custom'

Who measured it up, David Blunkett?

  • Thanks for all the positive comments - the sizing does look a bit odd but I'm a bit odd size wise!! The stem is set too high in the pic as it was snapped before adjusting everything. My problem is a short torso relative to my legs so top tube height is dictated by my crotch!! Frame is track geometry so higher BB also messes it up a bit as do the 165 cranks. I might have been better off with longer cranks so seat post could be lowered but yet to decide about this.

Digger - Chain is HKK Vertex bought from Track Supermarket in Tokyo - not too expensive and arrived in 5 days!!

  • bike looks great mark, enjoy!

as for the stem, remember this bike have a very short head tube - there's only so much a quill stem can go down.

, but more than shown in the photo.

  • Nice & congratulations :)

I think you have things backwards. If you have long legs & short torso. Then you need a long seatube & headtube, but a short top tube.

Your bike does not reflect this, not in the frame and definitely not in the setup.
