2010-04-25 Sun 6am - London Marathon Ride

who's in for the early morning marathon route ride followed by a hearty breakfast.

** the same as last year meeting in blackheath at the large roundabout for 6.40 departure.**

the pace last year was comfortable, it was nice to just ride on empty streets. we were even given water by the stewards.

this is not a race. all those in favour say aye.

because of the swelling numbers on this ride (which isnt a bad thing) and even accounting for people dropping out, the numbers will still exceed that possible to fit into a cafe.

i am proposing that after the ride we go to one of londons lovely parks and have a little picnic. all those in favour register your interest please.

you'll only need to carry a blanket wine and food or snacks we can get on the way to the park. okay its not the full english that would have gone down so well but at least we'll be able to all enjoy each others company and no one be excluded because of cafe sizes. added bonus is the weather we are enjoying at the moment.

The breakfast place has to be carefully chosen, as we all like a smile for breakfast!!
(I am refering to a cycling related breakfast last year with coppiThat, were the staff were so unpleasant!!)

Definitely up for this again. Earlier departure sounds better as we got a bit of hassle last time, and we might get to sprint up the mall, we left too late last time for that. Maybe keep this thread locked until a week or two before hand, so it doesn't get messy?
