The AX and EX are the same stem, just the EX groupset came before the AX
http://www.flickr.com/photos/stronglight/sets/72157604999952452/ One of my favourite flickr sets and full of info about them. They keep popping up on ebay, a 90mm and 100mm were just sold at the weekend for about £25 each so its worth keeping an eye out for them.
I'd love to get hold of some DA bars so I can get one piece closer to having complete DA on my Bob.
