There are two Asian guys that drive a silver Astra round the local area dealing drugs. That might be who it was and why they drove off.

Bad news charlie, you have every right to be angry as hell. Vallance road has always been a horrible place to ride, in my opinion, very poor surfce and for some reason very impatient and aggressive driving seems endemic there.
... At Bethnal Green police station they had run out of reporting forms so could not even take a record of the crash.
This part is a flipping joke! Make a complaint about that officer once you've made the report?

Can you hook me up with a contact?

Ouch, Charlie. Are you going back to report when they have forms again or are they not going to do any follow-up? The circumstances do sound dodgy for some reason.

I'm raging on your behalf Charlie, are you really O.K?
I remember when the Police used to take driving away from the scene of an accident very seriously. -

That basically means they can't be arsed to deal with your incident
Told me the same when some cunt crashed into my car and drove off, cunts didn't wanna know....

You should have told them you jumped 2 red lights and finished off by riding on the pavement. po po might have made the effort in taking your details then
That sucks Charlie! hope karma has them driving around a shit hole in a bucket like an Astra...

funny you write this, cycled passed Vallance Rd last night around 23:30, and just at the intersection with Whitechapel Road, saw a silver Astra which had run over a commuter bike. When I cycled passed, the police had already blocked out the road, the bike was lying crushed under the car's left front wheel. No indication of the cyclist, but holding fingers crossed here that s/he is alright.

sounds like someone on a mission against cyclists to me!!!

This is an awful situation. I'm so very sorry to hear this. It's making my blood boil thinking about this. Time for me to step away from the keyboard.

Charlie, Horrible news. Glad you were not hurt more and that the damage to your bike is not worse. Good luck with the Police.
Anyone seeing a silver Vauxhall Astra reg _ _ 53 WWU or _ _ 53 WMU missing a 2 inch cover plate from the front bumper please give it a kick for me.
The driver ran me down at about 7.30 pm, Monday, then drove off without stopping to help. It was a slow crash, I managed to bounce on the front of the car on the way down. Not much damage, a few scratches and aches, buckled front wheel. Still angry as hell.
I was going north on Vallance rd E1, the car came about 3 feet out of Old Montague st. then stopped. As I went past he accelerated straight into me. Thanks to Anisul and Sandy who stopped to help. At Bethnal Green police station they had run out of reporting forms so could not even take a record of the crash.
