new2fix, I'd recommend going along to TrixieDix on a Tuesday night if you're keen on tricks--you can learn there in a supportive atmosphere and there'll be lots of knowledgeable people there who can help you with your tricks set-up. There's also the Fixed and Single-speed Freestyle group on here--that would be a better forum to place questions like this in.
