May well give it a go myself, but would need to borrow a truing stand off of someone.

Any bike shop in manchester. dont need a truing stand, just do it with some tape, and 2 pegs, its what I did XD.

i go to bike boutique for everything but had a really bad experience with a wheel build, good for truing but i wouldn't get another wheel built there

went by bb this morning. £27 inc spokes sounds too good. fingers crossed its ok

maybe mine was a one off but had one built rode for 2 days and it was loose as anything and then went pringle shaped, i would recommend harry halls because i think they still get Guy to build them

played polo for 15 years, Dublin based grass polo in the phoenix park, holding a euro grass polo tournament in apirl if you fancy a try , but really looking for 12'' spokes any one know of any or were i might get them!!

If in South Manchester, Wills Wheels (Heaton Chapel just off A6 - South of McVities) are the danglies. I've got handbuilt road wheels and fixed wheels (oh and a fixed road bike) from him - they haven't even needed a spoke key in 12 months I've had them !

does anybody know roughly how much different places will charge to build a pair of wheels? GBH? BB? Harry Halls?

usually £20-30 a wheel. if you want to find best price just phone them and enquire....

dont use bike boutique for wheel builds me and Ronnie both had shit builds there,

but on the other hand ive now had 4 wheel builds at bike boutique and none have needed trueing yet - the oldest being a good year or so - maybe others wouldent but i would DEFINATELY reccomend

If Guy still does them via Harry's, that's the place to go. Everyone says he's the fucking emperor when it comes to wheels.
Anyone know where he's based now? I know he left BB to go work with motorbikes again, and I'm looking for a decent chop shop up north...
