what type of lever are you looking for? one to go on the bend of risers? what was wrong with the dirt harry?

it's for a standard drop bar. dirt harry is fine, changed to Gran Compe for the supposedly 2 side option. turned out neither side is as good as dirt harry, and the long arm (right) blocks the front light.
now the dirt harry is already sold, so fancying other choices as well.

I'm using the shot lever as it's easy to take off for the track, fits the 26mm bars perfectly and works well with my ultegra brake (but yes, positioning is crap). I was going to use my trp cyclocross lever (cane creek, paul, etc do identical levers) but the cable end hangs out a bit and it was either live with this, risk a gear cable, or mount a Paul cross lever in reverse. Tried the dirty harry and didn't like it but got the shot lever working brilliantly with a bit of oil.

Get a Salsa Cross lever. Hinged bracket so easily removed. I used one with a 105 and it was very powerful.
Looking for levers to go wtih Shimano 105 front brake, but not sure of the difference between BMX/mountain and spring-loaded/spring-less ones.
Recently switched from Diatech Dirt Harry to Dia Compe Gran Compe Shot Brake Lever but find the latter impractical.
Thanks~
